Shift Work Hours Calculator

Shift work rarely fits the tidy 9-5 / 40-hour model: nurses work three 12-hour shifts and a 4, security guards stack nights and weekends, retail staff split a week into varying parts. The Shift Work Hours Calculator accepts a list of shifts (start time, end time, break minutes) and returns total hours, overtime above 40 and a per-day breakdown.

It also flags shifts that cross midnight (so a 22:00 - 06:00 shift counts as 8 hours, not negative 16), and lets you set a night-shift bonus as a percentage of hours. Use it to keep your own timesheet honest, or to size a roster before publishing it.
